Governor’s Community Achievement Award
For more than thirty years, Keep Texas Beautiful, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), has awarded the prestigious Governor's Community Achievement Awards to Texas communities for their outstanding overall efforts to keep their communities beautiful. The City of Ennis was the 2020 third-place and 2022 and 2025 second-place recipient of the Category 5 (city with a population between 15,001 - 25,000) Governor’s Community Achievement Award. In addition, the City of Ennis received the 2022 and 2005 Award of Excellence for receiving a score of 90 or Higher.
These awards and Gold Star Affiliate status are appreciated as confirmation that we’re headed in the right direction.
